Worldwide 161 million people are visually impaired and 80% of blindness is preventable. Touch of Light is a UK based charitable organisation which aims to collaborate with local partners in Ghana and other developing countries to help eradicate avoidable blindness. By sending a team of experienced Ophthalmic surgeons to Ghana, we aim to deliver free specialist eye care to all those who are in need. Concurrently, we will train local doctors, nurses and healthcare volunteers to manage and educate patients in the future. |
